The Dodge and Ford pulleys have the same mounting bolt pattern. A square 4-1/8" between all holes. (4-1/8" is an average. Actual measurements vary up to 1/16" either way.) The two pulleys are quite different in every other aspect. No parts will interchange between the two. The Ford pulley can be used on the Power-Wagon without an adapter as long as it has the 1-3/8" spline instead of the more common 1-1/8" spline. On the other hand, the Dodge pulley will not work on a Ford tractor without using an adapter. The Ford pulley will mount much closer to the pickup bed rear C-channel than the correct Dodge pulley. I have not thought about checking to see if the gear ratios are the same between the two pulleys. Keep in mind that the pulley does not mount directly to the Power-Wagon, but instead, mounts to a pillow block that bolts to the same holes and well nuts as used by the stock pintle hook. This bolt pattern on the rear frame crossmember is different from that on the pulley itself.

The Ford tractor relies completely upon the splined PTO stub shaft to locate the pulley. The pulley stands up on four legs through which four bolts simply hold it in place. The Dodge Power-Wagon does not rely upon the splined PTO stub shaft in the pillow block to locate the pulley. The pulley and pillow block have mating male and female bosses machined into the housings that loocate the two together. The four bolts hold the pulley in place and the load is not carried on the splined shaft.

Another possibility exists in using a Jeep belt pulley on a Power-Wagon. The Jeep pulley more closely resembles the Ford than the Dodge. An adapter would have to be fashioned it using a Jeep pulley because the bolt pattern on it is not square.

Hope this helps, Clint.
