The Marmon-Herringtons used "Banjo" type axles which, from what I'm told, are not a very good design. Studebaker 6x6's used them also. Dodge had the best thing going as far as vintage 4 wheel drive is concerned IMHO. I just wish they had put low block Hemis in the WDX-WM300 pw's :-)
