I just spoke with a Senate staffer this morning who informs me that a letter is circulating in the Senate, apparently authored by Wyoming Senator Mike Enzi, asking their conference members, Levin (the bill's author), Warner, and Bob Smith amongst others, to insure that 1062 is either amended or removed. Levin's staff is suggesting that he is amenable to an amendment.
They are emphasizing now that this is moving so fast that if anyone wants to contact their representation, they need do it extremely quickly.
