My X-Brushtruck has 14 leaf spring packs on the rear with an additional 5 leaf helper pack on top of that. The front are 11 leaf spring packs. The PW's mission was to carry 300 gallons of water (all heavy guage steel tank, special construction all steel utility bed, hoses, a pump, and several (>4) firefighters with all their equipment for 47 years. I think the net weight far exceeded 1T and my '53 FlatFender obviously "pulled it's weight" all those years or it wouldn't have earned it's own stall at the FireStation! Any guesses as to the net/gross weight per the above?
