Finally got lucky an acquired a 56 C4 ........ of course in need of repairs
I am now conducting an inventory of what is good ... to keep and what I need to restore. I find the tail gate to have taken a beating in the absence of any rear bumper.
My question is did any bumper device ever exist as an option ??? either factory or dealer installed???
I would love to use something like the rear spring bumpers from a M 37 or a spare front bumper with modofication. It is obvious that I am not restoring a museum piece but a fun vehicle to be enjoyed.
However I would like to have it look like a 1956 PW.
