Yes the PTO not shifting in or out of gear could be related to the transmission not shifting. However, as you mentioned, some of those gears are "square" so with out rotation the teeth might be end to end. Lube, lube. lube is good advice. You might be able to rotate the winch/PTO shaft and see if it indexes into gear when rotated a bit. Same thing if you can get to the trans. output shaft and rotate it a bit (transfer case between high and low - [out of gear]). Most people that have these trucks have some idea of their worth and condition. I bet if you asked, it would not change the price. BOB
