Numerous shops are capable of making the plates, and I do my own. I do not wish to sell them, however, due to legal entanglements. I can recommend the manufacture of them out of 3/8" A572 alloy. I've made several sets over the years, and this is the winning combination of strength and cost. Thinner stock will not last! When starting up with a machinist, provide them with the following: 1..original empty wheel. 2..Goat empty wheel. 3..original hub with studs and nuts. 4..time to do the job correctly, and if they are open to suggestions, a rotary table on a vertical mill is superior to a lathe. Note: The 8 peripheral bolts should be 9/16" Gr. 8 SAE, with hardened flat washers and interference lock nuts. The plate goes on the outside of the wheel, and they will have to notch for the stem. Be carful with the stem, as they are hard to find and easily snapped off in the manufacturing process. Good luck, Dennis.
