I use a Phillips Head long handled screw driver. Hook one wnd of the sping anound the
shaft and stick the head in the hole. Then leverage it in. You may need a pair of
pliers to turn to the hook so it catches. Wear eye protection just in case it
slips off and goes flying. First one may take a while but you will quickly
get the hang of it.
