I thought that the only winch equipped CMP trucks were the FAT(field artillery tractors). Is yours a FAT,( which should have a sloped-back body for the gun crew), or a pickup with a box? I believe the FAT's had an access panel in the floor of the crew area that allowed the winch line to be switched from inside. What size tires does the truck have? 900/16 (15cwt size) or 1050/20 (60cwt and FAT) The FAT's were only made on a 60cwt chasis with the 20" rims, however most of the parts interchange between the different truck series, so anything is possible.( I have 5 CMP trucks at the farm, 3 of them running, and would like to "compare notes". ) J.V.L.
