Jim,
I,m no expert but here's my experiences.Some,
but not all militarys had round guages and
speedo as oppossed to rectangle guages. Some
militarys had screen over the back window of
the cab attached by 4 machine thread type bolts
with U shaped inditations stamped into the cab.
Windshield frames are the same size but most
militarys used a spring loaded "clasp" with a
finger hole in it.They were attached to the frame
itself in the center (at the bottom edge of the
frame)and "locked" via a stamped slot in the dash.
On the sides of the frame were slides that would
allow adjustment as to how much the windshield
was open. They used this opposed to the crank
system that is found on the power wagons.Someone
once told me the firewalls were a little different
too. I don't know for sure though.I do know the
civilian cab will interchange mounting hole wise.
with all that said let me say it has been my
experience that dodge used whatever they had to
build these trucks.I've seen legit trucks, not
conversions, with any and all combinations of
the above.I'm sure I'm leaving something out,
anybody else care to contribute?
Post any other questions ,I'll help if I can.
Kevin
