It definitely takes money. Your options are:
1) Gear Vendors or other overdrive mounted behind T-case, working only on rear driveline in 2WD.
2) Advance Adapters Ranger II overdrive between bellhousing and transmission.
3) 5-speed with 5th overdrive.
4) 4.89s with big tires. Additionally, 5-speed with 5th direct for closer gear splits.
Are planning an engine swap?
