I have a 1941 Dodge 4x4 that appears to be a military model (black out lights, pintle hook, etc). It also has a Braden PTO winch. It has the flat head six with a four speed transmission. The original bed is gone and was replaced with a 6 foot wood flat bed. I have several questions I hope someone can answer:
1. What modle is it? The serial # is 4112-360063. Is it a 1/2 or 3/4 ton.
2. Which modle motor does it probably have? Motor # is T2078753.
3. Any ideas what the rating on the winch is?
4. What is the best way to convert to 12volt system. This is going to be a working/hunting truck and will probably never be restored to "original" condition.
5. Do parts from the newer (1942 on up) interchange.
One fellow told me that it may be a G-505. It has 7.50x16 tires with split rims.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Moe
