That's true and the Detroit series 60 is about the most intrusive one and most effective I have used. I drove one today and did my last few years as a working Firefighter. It was so loud I didn't use it at night unless on a call. The ones used on the small pickup Cummins is what we call a potato stuffer and is not a true Jake brake.
