It's not clear how they got unstuck from the neighbor's lawn. Maybe there was an opportunity to have a "conversation" with them?
I hate tweeker scrap thieves. Short of a private discussion of the matter in a very remote place, I wish I could just give them a couple pounds of meth and say "Here you go. Knock yourself out." When they get to the point of stealing radiators and batteries, the only thing that can save them is if they're lucky enough to get thrown in prison for a good long time. We had that guy who broke out of the local hoosegow last summer -- 48 years old and still on meth. Hides out in the woods until it starts raining and then gets shot trying to break into a neighbor's house. You can't fix stupid.
