Here is where it can get muddled. I was given this cab and it was said to be military and presumed off of a 1/2 ton 4x4. It was sprayed OD green on the first/original coat of paint. It IS a 1939 cab as it has the one year only,as far as I know, door latches. Normal windshield, no rear screen holes. May be off a bigger truck or military may have ordered normal 1/2 ton too. Just don't know. This cab also has the half surrounds on the doors for cardboard. Military 4x4 were"supposed to have metal inserts with no half surround.

Another way to narrow stuff down is the hood support bar bracket on the cab cowl. They are different angles. I showed that in Joe's cab differences link. Military 4x4 1/2 tons also have more of an downward angle where the hood lays so it fits better.
