i have 2 late model mcs on hand and they both have the same style bellows and are the same in depth but one is larger in diameter czu the cap is bigger

both resevoir caps have bellows(diaphrams(

in them but they both have tiny slits in the middle of the bellows

i noticed if i blew on it as is i could not get air to go thru but if is stretched out to the position it would be in if the fluid was low the slit opened up and let air thru

i also notice that some bellows are a lot longer and more like a push rod boot but with no hole

what is yours like

guess the slit is there so if the fluid get too low and your stepping on the brake the bellow is now not tall enuff to function properly so at that point the rubber opens up and lets air thru the slit
