It boils down to what you want. Originals are out there but usually rusted and beat to death. To get them back normally requires LOADS of time and you still have a repaired or beat out piece with body work to do on BOTH sides. It can be done and has been for years.
I bought a set of Matt's second series and they are VERY impressive. If you are paying someone to do bodywork for you. You'll be money ahead to buy a new set. My 2 cents anyway.
