On the wiring you need to run the light thru the flasher to put a load on it to flash. Different systems have different wiring patterns. If you are not using the brake lamps for signals it is easier. If you are then there is more wires to work with. Need to know the type and model number of your turn signal to look up the diagram to wire them with. On mine I used a different lamp for each in the rear. One for brakes and one for the signal. If I need to pull a trailer I might have to wire the jack with diodes to stop back feed and still work the tail/signal/brake lights on the trailer.
