I ordered a 10'x 12' Tan extra heavy duty canvas tarp for the bed cover. Once I get it I can custom make the supports to go over the bed. Need to talk to my metal shop and see if they can bend me 4- 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" thin wall box steel for the hoops to go into the stake pockets. Might put flat steel on the bottoms of the hoops so the stake sides can also go in the pockets on top of the hoops so you can still see the wood? I would like the hoops to angle in some before going over the top one reason to make them out of steel. My bed is pretty wide and I need to downsize the top so I can see in my mirrors. Want to build my wood sides out of walnut if the would I want to use is long enough?? I get the wood for free or I could not afford to use it. I will check this week end on that problem. So I have one more thing to work on to keep me occupied. Guess the 6x6 is really never totally done?
