I don't which sensor that is with out a manual.
OBD1 was not standardized as OBD 2,so yes, You need an model specific adaptor. You can always have a auto-zone or some such scan it for you.
From a previous post it sounds like you
Have a few codes.
You need to find a manual with the step by step troubleshoot tree and preceded from there.
Were all just guessing.
But I still believe problem is the ECM thinks it's a cold start.
