and how does the foam padding/insulation work in terms of sound deadening? or have you never been in other PW trucks that didn't do it to compare?

My last WC 1/2 ton I simply used the foil backed, air bubble filled sheet stuff from auto stores. its about 1/4" thick, easy to cut and shape and holds in place with any tacky adhesive. I think I seen in at Home Depot too the other day.

I used spray adhesive to hold it in place. I never did anything more than that, and I remember that helped quite a bit. however, I also thought there was room for improvement and that some other material might make it even better(read that "quieter")

I seen where a fellow on the M series site used foam sheet. maybe from camping ground matress pads or something?

I was thinking of trying that, or even the sheet fiberglass insulation, stuff found again and home improvement centers. all over a layer of the foil backed bubble stuff. none of it would be permanent should someone wish to rip it out some day.

anyone have thoughts on this method, or choice of material to sound deaden the cab?

I really don't want to use the spray foam over the rubberized, as one its a real messy product, and two its pretty permanent!
