I needed some paint today, and I remembered I had a partial can of POR 15 in the back of the cabinet. I cant remember what I used it for but its been awhile.
First thing I noticed when I picked up the can was that the bottom was bulged out. Strange I thought.
I popped the lid off and was greeted by a dried film. No problem, I will get that off and see how it looks. I pressed down at the edge of the can and man, it was hard! I enbded up holding the can in a vise and hitting all around the perimeter with a hammer and big flat screwdriver. I finally got it out. When I first pierced it, thick honey colored goo came foaming out Thousands of tiny air bubbles in it. Weird! Half an inch below the shell I removed, was a second one. I got that one out too, with less and less good feelings that this was going to turn out well. Aftyer all the layers were gone, I stuck in a stir stick and started stirring it. About 15 seconds into stirring, I realized that the level of the can, which had been less than half full was rising. I quickly realized that it was going to expand right out of the can. I quiclkly took the can outside and put it in the snow where it overtopped the can. I have never seen anything like that!
