I don't know how you read what I wrote, but lubing or not changes things dramatically, so you need to follow the engine manufacturor' specs.

The absence of specs makes me think there is a standard procedure, so basic as not even covered in manuals. Lube them.

Anybody seen any spec for 'dry'?
