That's a very kind offer of you, Glen. Would love to take you up on it. I seem to be too busy these days to go for any kind of road trips or pack trips like I used to but flying into Moose Creek and hiking out or something like that sounds great. Maybe I can pull it off. I'm surprised they let you land there if the Forest Circus has to have all their gear packed in. I know they closed the Pasayten air strip, which also has a FS cabin by it, and it's growing up with trees now. Must have got special dispensation from congress for Moose Creek.
I don't think I've ever tried to dry or smell balsam-root. I guess I assumed it didn't have any particular smell. I'll have to check it out. I expect the grass is starting to green up down by your place, but up here it's still winter. We've picked up another 8" or so of snow in the last few days.
