I don't currently have the breakdown by year for the 1944-45 production. All the books lump it together. Someday I'll either stumble over a piece of paperwork that clarifies the break between 1944 and 1945 or maybe I'll get lucky and Chrysler will help me with data from their archives. Right now the best I can do is guesstimate. The factory information is what was used to create the decoder that Tom used.
Starting serial for 1944-45 production was 81335001
1945 end of production was 81349393
Your serial is 81336905 is 1905 trucks into production which makes me think it is most likely a 1944. 1944 production started in April 1944 so it wasn't a full production year. This makes me think that most of that production occurred in 1945, but I don't know that for sure.
Is it a closed cab? Does it have a full or partial waterfall dash?
