Yes T-roy I sure do enjoy this truck and this forum. I saw one of these trucks in the late 60s and thought then, "wow" if I live long enough I am going to have one of those. I had not seen another one until I bought this truck in March 2011, that's just how scarce they are around this area.
Thanks for posting the pictures onto the present forum. While reviewing the pictures again, it struck me that I have replaced the right rear tail light bracket with one of the correct ones of brass or bronze that Marty had reproduced a few years ago.
The bracket that came on the truck is also made of brass or bronze, it has the steel portion to mount the light riveted to the brass portion. The brass portion is a T shape, with the same bolt pattern to bolt to the truck. With this bracket on the truck the light was about 3" to high and 3" out to far from the truck. The total width is about 8". I don't know which truck it fits, but it has been hanging on a nail in my basement ever since I replaced it. I am sure that someone on this forum would love to have it for their truck.
So here is what I would like to see happen. Can we sell it on the forum to the highest
bidder, with the stipulation that the funds go to Joe and the forum?
I can e-mail a picture of it to someone, but how do we make this happen? Incidentally Marty sold his at cost, being $85. I believe I sent him a cheque for $100, and suggested he have lunch on me. Thanks again Marty.
