Ordered a set of these for my Tail Gate. Decided not to have the tail gate hinge both ways. It will be stronger with hinges on the bottom only. These are rated for 900 lbs and 7 inches long. I will still be able to remove the tail gate using them. I will add a removable bolted on stop to keep them from sliding off when the tail gate is open. I have 4 nice stainless steel 3/8" 1,000 lb rated Bolt Eyes to use for the chains ends that can come off if needed. I have some 1" fire hose to put around the chains. I also have one for the hoist to stop it from moving around to snap the hook onto. Going to try to bolt the cab end on today it is dry this morning.
