out here I'm on foot or riding the bus. Bad back so running him down wouldn't be an option. The Pacific air museum had a military dodge on display and used to be a couple of M37s back by the restoration shop - haven't been there this year yet. I've got extra passes if you get here before March. :)
Old story, I've probably told it here before:
In 1984 I had a guy chase me down on foot when I was going through LaGrande OR in my '48. He was lucky I had a bad generator and stopped at a parts store. And I was lucky he knew everybody in town and got the generator rebuilt that afternoon for free, and made us lunch and let me drive his ... WC-52 (I think). He'd seen the '48 on the freeway first from the train - he worked for the RR and got into LaGrande ahead of us. Can't remember his name - had a terrible story about rolling a PW down the breaks and his friend died in the accident.
Probably helped that my sister was riding out to Utah with me - he might not have run so fast if he hadn't seen her.
