have to shave the head a bunch to make the new cams work good. stock cam grind and compression ratio is designed for 70 octane or worse fuel. I would call delta camshafts in Tacoma wa and tell them what you want. they can give you a few different grind options. Install cam then measure valve lift above block then measure clearance in the head and shave as much as you can. usually .075 works great if head has not been shaved a bunch before.
It only cost around 100 bucks to have the regrind cam and dress lifters.
