Thanks guys for the all the input. My 230 is a great motor and still running strong after 27 years, but I have heard that the 25" motors have more power and torque and are better for sustained Highway use. Not that I want to go faster than 55-60 mind you. LOL. I have a spare front engine mount to modify with plates reaching back to the original 230 mounts on the frame so no modification of the frame will be needed. I also have a spare radiator air deflector and both side deflectors to modify to fit the 25" engine. This way, I will always be able to return it to it's original 23" engine configuration should the need arise. This is not to mention that I will be changing frames from my rusty T-211 to a very clean T-215 open cab frame after having it sandblasted and powder coated black. Will have the body parts that need attention (filler cracking) fixed and all the sheetmeatl repainted in the same color it is now. New wiring harness form Vintage Wiring of Maine, and possibly installing an early type civi. NP420 in it. Better to do this now while I still have my health and interest in the truck. Will be quite an adventure, but am looking forward to the challenge.
