Been looking at several ways from electric to hydraulic cutting the column in haft? Saw a Hydraulic unit for tractors that is a assist system that seemed a easy install but expensive way to go running around $1,800.00 for parts. You still use a pump off the engine but the original steering box. The electric ones look cheaper around $500.00 to put in but most have a rack and pinion set up and lighter cars that use them. Anyone ever look into them or tried to put one in?
