I have put sound mats every where I could in my carryall. The biggest change was when I put it on the floor under the front seats along with 3/8 inch rubber mats. The front floor and tranny hump are covered with a 3/8 thick mat that was designed for horse trailers so getting it wet is not an issue. The rear. Floor is 3/4" oak and nothing else.
