. . . you won't wear it. You have a job "on your feet" in which you move around a lot and get some exercise, so approach losing weight from the other end: reduce your intake. Smaller portions, no soda, only an occasional desert once a week. As others mention, avoid white foods. Have a salad for lunch 5 days a week. Smaller dinners. Rather than consuming ice cream, cakes or pies, chew a stick of gum for sweetness. You have to change your intake quantity to lose weight. Best wishes with your New Year campaign!
