After 71 years of eating what I wanted, when I wanted and as much as I wanted, and at the same time working a physical job (building houses) I got colon cancer. Since then I have changed drastically what I eat. I avoid sugar and processed foods like the plague. It's been 2 1/2 years and I'm feeling better and healthier than I was before. It's not fun, but I like living.
A lot of our weight problems are genetic. My wife is the same size as she was when I married her almost 48 years ago, thin as a rail.
