Usually dealers keep fuel tanks nearly empty so i am guessing he added more than a couple gallons. That said most diesel owners i know who also own gas vehicles will do this once so it will probably happen again. Thinking of m135 duel fuel engines i believe the only changes are timing and hardened fuel pump parts and they will run on gasoline. So my thought is it might add a little additional wear to the pump but how much in a 1/4 mile with virtually zero engine load.
