I just had my father in law do this to my Cummins Mega Cab except I realized it happened before starting the truck and had it towed, tank dropped, all new filters, etc to tune of $597.00. I ran inside to use restroom and he was going to fill up my truck as we were hauling his Jeep. I came outside and spotted mistake as he was hanging the 87 octane handle back up. The dealership that did the work pointed to a nice 3500 in the lot that the owner did same thing at same pump and drove 1.5 miles before engine stopped. There's a Hess in Southern Pines NC that has handles Green 87, White 90, Black 93, and Red for Diesel... So dumb.
