they are interchangeable. there may be extra holes on the upper half of the frame that has the screw on brackets where the brace bolts on to the WC window frame. The lower half may use different crank out or latch mechanisms but can be made to fit. Not sure on years of use, what are you looking for? I just spent a week rebuilding two of them from a pile of power wagon and military stuff with a few farm truck parts thrown in.
