I have to deal with that spot. There is a big fan opening just below that point that is letting the warm air out of the room below right against the roof. So there is no insulation over the opening. It vents the tannery room. It is coming out when they tear off the old roof and go up another story. I think I will go up in the attic and insulate over the opening and stop the heat loss! That ice is going to be hard to let the snow off the roof in that area!!
