Well, I see everyone agrees with me. If you want to but something from a distance, you pay up front, or if someone knows how to use Paypal, do that. I recently bought a heater core online for my '66 Ford F350 for $50. It was advertised for that vehicle, but turned out to be incorrectly advertised and wouldn't fit. The seller refunded the money and didn't want to bother with shipping it back to him. I consider him to be a man of integrity.
Most people are probably basically honest, but I do agree with some of the thoughts. If the buyer sounds too worried about getting ripped off, it's probably a good time to forget the sale.
