I've looked at diesels a coupla times. My buddies all run diesels as their personal trucks. Rams mostly, one Ford, and 2 Chevys. Some actually own good sized trailers (10K lbs) some don't. Never made sense to me. My buddy I grew up with is "all diesel" he mentions it occasionally, but after comparing cost of ownership details he falls strangely silent. I guess if thats what a guy is into, then I'm all for it. Personally I couldn't justify the expense when I put the pencil to paper, and don't really care one way or the other, gas or diesel. I have a 27' toyhauler trailer, that I pull 2-3 times a year, probably about 700mi total. It seems to do fine.
