I had two columns, one was a 41 WD15, it had a steel jacketed bushing at the top, the other was from a 47 WD21, it had a tapered bronze bushing in the column, and a split tapered wedge on the inner shaft. I do like the idea of a bearing at the top. i have looked at some of the street rod boots and trim and may go that way as well. But that's way down the road. Next up will be making a mount for the hanging pedals I scavenged off the 95 Dodge.
