Hell, thanks to OSHA, EPA & Union, Bethlehem couldn't even make the steel for the World Trade Center. Every piece of tower 1 and tower 2 was made in Japan and floated to NYC cheaper than it could be made and shipped 100 miles.

ABE shifted from production of goods to cashing welfare checks by 1980, and Mack went to building scrap on wheels.
