several years ago in the pw advertiser that Gordon maney had written about a 6x6 in the mountains in a snowstorm, many of you probably remember the story. I had to have one after reading that story. sometime later the first of several 6x6 trucks showed up here. the first was one from central ny and the owner had come upon some hard times and needed money. it was the one with the Detroit in it. paul in ny had helped the owner get it to where it was and it was over a year before I could start on finishing it. when done I had people follow me home. sold it. anyway, I have learned that the most fun 6x6 is an open cab,i have done a couple 6x6 powerwagons but you just cant beat the open cab 6x6 for sheer adrenaline when driving it. I have another one here that I plan on starting late summer or fall. the 6x6 in the pic is a customers and was a blast to drive. has cummins also.
