3 years ago I bought a 2005 Cummins plain jane truck. Manual locks and windows. 67000 miles on it. Paid 17800$. This last few months the dealership is calling and sending me emails and us mail stuff how they want my trade and come in and they can get me a brand new 2015 truck comparable to mine for the same payment I am paying now. Finally a sales lady called me and I answered. I asked her how the heck could she get me into a brand new 50000$ truck for the same payment I have now. She tells me they have all these finance options and I would be surprised. So I had to go by the parts department a few weeks back and decided to see what they could do. I test drove a new 1500 with that eco diesel. Truck loaded with everything and was very nice. Truck was 49g sticker. They said invoice was 45g. Add incentives and they offered 15g trade for my 2005 Cummins. Anyways it got the price down to 38g for the new 1500. My payment was gonna be 600$+ a month for 6 years. That's double what I pay for my 2005 payment. I asked why they couldn't get me a 2500 Cummins for my payment like their letters and emails said. They stuttered and shrugged their shoulders. I thought to myself I paid 17800$ for my 2005 and they are offering me 15000$ for it now. That's a pretty good value holding truck after 3 years of driving. Got back in the 2005 and drove home! HA!
