Depth of water in shaft: ~300'
Depth of water at lamp location: ~10'
Pressure corresponding to 10' depth: ~4.3 psi
Water temperature: ~40 deg F
Corrosion minimal. Water is slightly alkaline (hard)and low in dissolved oxygen
On/Off cycle: once per day May through September
Depth about 10' as above.
Long warm-up time (5-10 min) would be quite alright.
No MSHA inspector as it is not an active mine. When we have "invited" an MSHA guy through for a "courtesy" inspection, he never commented on the shaft light. Shaft is fenced to keep guests from going swimming.
