Anybody here have any experience good or bad with any of the brands of new LED spotlight bulbs that are intended to replace the old 150 watt incandescents? We have a light in the mine that is about 10' down in an old mine shaft that's full of water. We turn it on so the tourists can see the ladder disappearing into the depths. It's got a heavy bronze housing with a pretty well gasketed cover on the end, but it still ends up very damp inside, whether from leakage or condensation. It's a hassle to change the bulb because we have to pull it up out of the shaft with a rope, coil up the cord and rope, and bring it back to the shop, and then disassemble the sealed end and try to get it back together without it leaking, which is impossible to really test except by putting it back in the shaft. An incandescent bulb lasts about one season, so I want to replace it with an LED bulb so we don't have to pull it out and change the bulb every year, but I'm leery of all the electronic circuitry inside them getting ruined by moisture. I've been reading Amazon reviews for all the ones listed as "for wet locations", and only looking at the "good" brands like GE and Phillips, but what I'm finding is that everybody loves them except when they don't work and then they hate them. The ones who hate them say they quit after a couple months or they flash randomly. I suppose they probably just got a bad unit, but I don't want to deal with that.

So, does anyone here have any experience with any of them, good or bad? Not really interested in indoor LED bulbs or bulbs to replace regular round incandescents, but just "wet location" flood/spot light bulbs.
