The welded up ones plate fits under the frame. This holds it in place. The bearing allows the levers to move up a little as there pushed back by the brake pedal rod. This action will push the lever it is hooked to against the boosters rod. I measured the push on the bottom lever it can move 3" with a 1" push no problem. 3" of movement will bottom out the bellows and master cylinder completely more than what is needed to work the brakes. Just wanted to make sure it could do a full stroke if needed. The original full stroke of the brake pedal is a little over one inch. Both of these strokes should be more than what is needed to work the brakes. Thumb is feeling a little better and I should bolt it on the truck soon then it will all be apparent how it works in the next picture.
