A reminder when working with powered machine tools.....a few items from a long list....
1) NO loose long hair / beards, loose clothing, gloves, necktie, open shirt or short sleeves or short pants
2) Anchor work piece securely
3) Safety glasses and / or face protection
4) Stable, level, clean work area
5) Be familiar with the tool and how to shut it down in a hurry.
6) If wearing PPE make sure it is of the 'tear away' type, Gloves if necessary must be either tear away or mechanics latex or poly type.

I can keep going but it is basic common sense. Google 'man caught in lathe' on you tube if you want to see some bad examples.

You only get one chance at being safe!
