S1416 Section 1062 is part of the Military Appropriation Bill for 2002, which is being rushed through. It allows the classification of anything once military as Significant Military Equipment. Then you can be forced to destroy it or it will be seized and destroyed. By the time your letter arrives, the vote may have taken place, so call as well as writing. Call not only your senators and congressmen, but other senators and
congressmen, too. Call MV owners and dealers, parts suppliers; gun dealers, manufacturers, parts suppliers, owners; museums (this bill will help rewrite history with increased ignorance of our past). This bill touches anything ever owned by the military (from your sporterized '03A3 to your WCxx or M-37) at the whim of some unreachable, unaccountable DC type behind a nice desk. Prevention is easier than cure, call NOW, then write.
