I remember looking at that site BC (Before Carryall)and seeing a couple of images of cars on rails in a railmobile configuration, and one of a Studebaker 6 x 6 wartime U6 box truck sitting on a flatcar just on it's rims.

I assumed they took the tyres off so it would get through the tunnel, but left the rims on to allow it to drive on / off the flatcar.

That Carryall image must be a 'new' one to the site, and tha rail gear looks like an Evans Auto-railler setup.
